In 2016, Daniel Sr. and Leticia, industry veterans who had gained extensive experience at companies like Nike and Hurley, made a life-changing decision to pursue the American Dream alongside their family. With deep knowledge of the apparel industry and a passion for quality, they saw an opportunity to create something truly special.
Their son Daniel, a mechanical engineer by education, faced a pivotal choice. Rather than following a traditional engineering career path, he chose to join his parents in building a family business—driven by a shared vision to become their own bosses, create opportunities for their family, and give back to the community that had given them so much.
The company name itself tells the most touching story of their family bond. Daniel Jr. is named after his father, and his sister is named after their mother Leticia. But their youngest brother Fernando had asked why he wasn't named after their dad too—he felt left out of this family tradition. When it came time to name their new venture, the family knew exactly how to make Fernando feel included and valued.
On May 9, 2016, just one day before Fernando's birthday on May 10th, Fernando's Screen Printing Inc. was officially founded. The timing couldn't have been more perfect—it was like giving Fernando the ultimate birthday gift. Fernando finally had something named after him, and it would become the family's greatest achievement.
What began as a humble startup has grown into something beautiful. The family worked tirelessly together, combining Daniel Sr. and Leticia's industry expertise with Daniel Jr.'s engineering precision and problem-solving skills. From their original 2,000 square foot space, they've expanded to an impressive 8,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility in Garden Grove, California.
